“There has much to thank God for. This year has been an especially long and hard one for me personally. 2012 started by being declared as a year of upgrade. But as the months passed, I felt like I was sinking instead of having any sort of upgrade. And as I questioned God, He reminded me that 2012 was also prophesied as a year of becoming – which I wrote about earlier this year here. And like all great men in the bible; for example – David & Joseph, each first received a promise from God and then they had a go through a period of being the wilderness before they eventually received their upgrade. Their time in the wilderness was a season of becoming; it was the preparation they needed before they could step into the promise that God had for them.
As I look back at the past couple of months, our church has been talking about moving into Chapter 2. And I can’t help but to be in such awe of God’s goodness – the nomination to be running for the top 10 wedding photographers in the world, the corporate shoots in London, Singapore & Bangkok – these are things that I never pursued, deserved or even could dream of. The upgrade that was declared at the start of the year has definitely arrived; it may have not been what I expected, but that’s the exciting thing about Chapter 2; it’s never the same as Chapter 1.
There’s a saying, ‘The journey is the reward.’ So thank you all for being part of the journey. Enjoy tonight, because this is your reward.”

2013. Chapter 2. It’s exciting and terribly frightening at the same time. I’ve never been in such a vulnerable place in my life – this year of being in the wilderness has caused every wall that I’ve built over the years to be torn down. But with that vulnerability, God can build upon it and do amazing things. And I can’t wait to step into the promise He has for me. Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013.
