For a while now I’ve been setting up photobooths during wedding receptions. One of the reasons I set this up is because I’ve never really liked the idea of a formal group photo. In this day and age of modern technology, I’ve found that people seem to tense up in front of a camera and end up being really stiff or giving a really fabricated smile. So that’s where the photobooth comes in. The photobooth is a great way of getting a fun group photos. And because no one is behind the camera, guests tend to be a bit more relaxed and simply use a trigger to take their own photo. And the best part is, while all this is happening, I get to focus on doing what I love – capturing the raw honest moments of the wedding.

March 08, 2013 - 12:34 am - I finally tried setting up a photobooth as well! I organised one for my sister's 21st, but it was unfortunate that I had forgotten to purchase a camera trigger beforehand. However, the guests at the party were pretty close-knit so we weren't too shy in front of the camera xD Coming up with props was probably the hardest aspect for me. I really like the pastel-coloured backdrop you prepared! The clouds and balloons are cute :D
