Daryl & Adeline. Melbourne Winery Wedding

As the new year beckons, I am reminded of this reading.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” - 1 Corinthians 13:4-6

I am reminded amongst the resolutions set & goals we aim for, those declarations, the words on a page; they are just the beginning —very much like a wedding. Beyond the first looks and jubilant declarations, the journey ahead is what matters. A lived-in love. The journey that will take all that is within us so that we become more ourselves, and less of our self.

Amidst all the fights in our world, love that gives a kind of grace which is not self-seeking, not easily angered, does not delight in evil, but always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres - this is worth fighting for.
Daryl & Adeline celebrated their wedding at Port Phillip Estate, but more importantly, it was the start of their journey together - marriage.

Shiran & Liz. Greenfields Melbourne Wedding.

A whimsical wedding filled with gold, colourful confetti & pink dahlias - Shiran & Liz got married at Greenfields, Albert Park.
“Jonathan was amazing. He has a really creative eye and does a wonderful job capturing candid moments. He is very good at being stealth. Most of the time you don’t know he is there!” -Shiran & Liz

Navin & Elly. Melbourne Warehouse Wedding, The substation.

At a Sunglass Hut, 2 colleagues meet for the first time. Her first impression is he looks like Usher. As fate would have it, they get along like a house on fire.5 years later, Navin & Elly are planning a wedding - it's everything like a wedding but at the same time, is nothing like a wedding - a charcoal dress, black flowers, exposed brick, high ceilings, Indian food & of course, Usher-like dance moves.

They tell me they don't have many photos together as neither of them feel particularly photogenic. I smile, tell them not to worry and just to focus on having the most fun on their special day. I'd like to think the moments show them at their truest - a combination of vibrant, striking tones and making each other laugh unexpectedly.

"I'm not sure how to thank you - they are so beautiful, and it's been so wonderful reliving the day. I cannot thank you enough. This is everything we wanted." - Navin & Elly.
