There's a particular kind of quiet that happens between two people who don't need to fill every silence — and that's exactly what met me on the sand with Murat and Kelleyene.
We kept it simple: just the two of them, the stretch of Cairns Beach, and the soft, forgiving light of the Mornington Peninsula doing most of the work. Both are self-described homebodies, more comfortable observing than performing, and it showed in the best possible way.
