- Ron & Claire
Ron & Claire had only just relocated from Singapore to Melbourne when they decided — why not make this city part of their story too?
For their guests flying in from Singapore, it felt like a destination wedding. A little adventure. A long weekend away. A chance to experience Melbourne through the lens of two people who had already begun calling it home. They chose Lindenderry Red Hill — vineyards, open skies, that fresh Morninginton Peninsula air — and turned it into one big celebration.
The ceremony was anything but traditional. No stiff formality. No rigid script. The groomsmen surprised everyone by walked in handing out beers. A close friend — someone who truly knew them — officiated, which meant more laughter than tears, more inside jokes than rehearsed lines. It felt less like a performance and more like two friends with undeniable chemistry deciding, in front of everyone they love, to keep choosing each other.
And then the party really began.
The afterparty wasn’t the slow wind-down kind. It was loud, joyful, slightly chaotic in the best way. Instant noodles made their appearance — the ultimate late-night comfort food — passed around between hugs and dance floor moments. And instead of a towering wedding cake, Claire’s sister made a homemade tiramisu. Personal. Unpretentious. Completely them.
There was something beautiful about watching two worlds collide — Singapore meeting Melbourne, old friends meeting new chapters. It wasn’t conventional. It wasn’t overly sentimental.
It was connection. Laughter. Fun.
And the kind of wedding that feels less like an event — and more like a really, really good party.
