Sault Daylesford Wedding - Murat & Kelleynne
The skies were overcast for most of the day, with a shower or two threatening to roll through.
Every now and then we'd glance up, wondering if the weather would hold.
Thankfully, it did.
Kelleynne and Murat's wedding at Sault in Daylesford was never really about the weather.
It was about the quiet moments. About staying true to themselves.
Kelleynne grew up in Singapore. Murat's family is Turkish.
Two different cultures. Two different stories. Finding their way to one another.
Before the ceremony, they chose to exchange their vows in private.
Just the two of them - exactly the way they wanted.
No guests. No audience. Just words written for each other.
I've always loved it when couples choose to do this.
There's no rush. No pressure. Just a chance to be fully present with one another before the day begins.
Later, surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged rings in Sault's chapel before celebrating with heartfelt speeches over lunch.
Two introverts who never needed to be the loudest people in the room.
They simply needed each other.
And sometimes, that's more than enough.
As the day came to an end, the first drops of rain finally began to fall.
Almost as though the weather had waited until everyone had made their way home.
